Sex Ratio

Recently the library of Aletta, institute of women’s history acquired a book called Unnatural Selection – choosing boys over girls and the consequences of a world full of men. It is written by a Beijing based correspondent for Science Mara Hvistendahl. She choose this subject for her first book which she dedicated not only to her own mother but to all moms in the world. She wanted to look into the subject because at several occasions as a journalist in China she had this bewildering feeling which she could not pinpoint.
